Yuri Vasnetsov, as a talented artist in the field of children's art, children's literature and illustrated books, has always kept himself a little apart from all other authors. Yuri studied with Petrovo-Vodkin himself, as well as with such a talented artist of his time as Malevich.

As a result, Yuri Vasnetsov became one of the promising authors and just a talented painter. He is awarded such a merit in the field of art painting as the creation of his own and distinct graphic style for literary publications of various formats and contents. However, one of his favorite lifelong trends was, of course, painting for those works. Which are deeply rooted in folk art.

One of the books known to this day, to which Vasnetsov put his professional artistic hand, was the book of another famous person - Leo Tolstoy. Leo Tolstoy wrote a short children's story called “Three Bears”. It is noteworthy in this book that Vasnetsov, who drew all the drawings for her, did this not at the peak of his fame and not even after he stopped painting, but at the very beginning of his career as a talented and promising illustrator.

After a while, they forgot about the book, but very soon after that it began to be published. Various companies published it, and each of them introduced its minor amendments to the main color scheme, font, and other features.

Nevertheless, even minor changes were able to convey the character, facial expressions and emotions of the main characters of the picture, which is one of Vasnetsov’s main merits. Thanks to this, the book about the adventures of three bears still remains popular, in demand and read among people.
